Ben Waters | Trader

Ben Waters, trader, has been an equity delta one trader in Global Indices/MSCI since March 2019. Here, he trades in Developed Markets and Emerging Markets (with a focus on the latter).

Delta one products are those that offer investors the same exposure as if these investors owned the underlying asset they represent. In comparison, non-delta one products (such as options) have asymmetric payoffs, meaning that price changes in the derivatives can be different from those of the underlying asset.

Early Career

As a summer analyst at Citi, London, Mr Waters dealt in markets and securities services on the Trading Execution Desk from June to August 2017. Prior to this, from June 2014 to June 2015, he was the University of Auckland Investment Club Inc’s investment analyst. He was so successful in this role that he received the organisation’s Outstanding Performance by a UAIC Investment Committee Member 2014 to 2015 award.
